Transfer Patient in RingCentral as Enrollment Specialist

Note: this article provides instructions for RingCentral web versio users.. RingCentral Desktop may differ slightly.

Transfer Types

  1. Warm Transfer: Select Ask first, speak to the recipient to confirm, then click Complete transfer.
  2. Cold Transfer: Select Transfer now (or similar) to send the call directly without speaking to the recipient first.
  3. To Voicemail: Select To voicemail to send the call directly to someone's voicemail.

Transfer Use Cases

For Patients who Request a Different Vitel Health Member

  • Use warm transfer and if person is not available, see if you can assist patient or take a message

For Spanish Speakers

  • Use warm transfer to direct call to a spanish speaking enrollment specialist
  • If they are unavailable, use cold transfer to send patient to Spanish Voicemail (dial 7)

For Patients who Need their Doctor's Office

1. Click Transfer

  1. During a call,
    1. Click Transfer and go to steps for enter destination
    2. If you cannot see Transfer, go to step 2
  1. Click the keypad icon
  1. Click X to exit new call window
  1. See keypad and click Transfer

2. Enter Destination

  1. In Enter a name or number, enter person/extension you want to transfer to

2. Click on name

3. Choose Transfer Type

Warm Transfer

1. Click Ask first

  1. If recipient confirms that they are available for the call, complete transfer call by clicking transfer button
    1. If recipient is unavailable, go to next step
  1. Click the end call icon to take you back to the call with the patient
  2. Click Hold button to speak to patient again
  3. Ask patient if you can help them or take a message
    1. If you have a Spanish speaking patient that you cannot communicate with, cold transfer them to Spanish Voicemail (dial 7)

Cold Transfer

1. Click Transfer

Voicemail

1. Click To voicemail
